MEMORY WELLNESS PROGRAM
Compassionate Care
According to the Alzheimer’s Association, there are approximately 5.4 million people in the United States with Alzheimer’s Disease. Other types of dementia and memory-related diseases affect even more Americans. The effects of Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias related to aging can be minimized with the appropriate care from experts.
The core belief behind our Memory Wellness Program is that there is no one approach to caring for someone with Alzheimer’s Disease or related dementia. Our certified care assistants, companions and homemakers complete a thorough educational training program to help them support clients living with Alzheimer’s Disease, enhance their cognitive functioning and mitigate the effects of the disease to help them live fuller lives.
We collaborate with expert physicians and researchers to continuously improve the customized care each Memory Wellness client receives. Constellation Private Duty caregivers support clients by:
- Participating in mind-stimulating activities
- Maintaining a safe environment
- Managing changing behaviors
- Eating nutritious meals
- Engaging in social interaction
It’s important to know what the typical signs of aging are related to memory and cognition, and what may be an indicator or symptom of Alzheimer’s Disease or a related dementia. The Alzheimer’s Association notes these ten signs of Alzheimer’s:
